Photographer Charlie Cordero embarked on a project to answer the question: “What is happening with single-use plastics and personal protective equipment such as gloves and face masks?”
At the beginning of quarantine measures in his country, Cordero was surfing during hours deemed acceptable for physical activity. One day, while he was floating far from shore, he noticed a mask in the water next to him. After a moment of shock and disgust, he took to the web to research the problem. Turns out, both Japan and France had already warned us about this issue.
